Cary and I visited the new Georgia Aquarium this past weekend. It’s the worlds largest aquarium, with over 8 million gallons of fresh salt water. The most impressive feature of the aquarium is the “Ocean Voyager” exhibit: a single 6 million-gallong tank containing over 100,000 fish. There are lots of viewing areas, including an acrylic-covered tunnel and, best of all, a 23ft tall, 61ft long 2ft thick acrylic viewing window. It’s amazing to look through a window that thick without any visible distortion. There are some really interesting animals there. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Atlanta and have a few hours to spare.

There are a few exhibits we didn’t get to see.  Maybe next time.
